News from Classmates
Rod Lee, Oak Ridge,
TN
Hi Frank: I caught
your last post on the school website and thought I'd touch base.
- Retired, well let's see, oh, two years ago, but haven't had
much time to sit around because of all the projects popping
up that were put of for the last thirty years since
my last retirement! Recently I found a man actually willing
to work who is about as busted up as I am, but together we
get some of the heavy projects finished.
Still here in Oak Ridge TN.
Good to hear from you.
Rod Lee
We've been in touch
since then a couple of times and Rod shared this:
Where were we?.. Oh yes, I was going to do some catch-up
on what I’ve been up to. Well, since we left Memphis
State, I spent twenty years in the Air Force, flying off to Europe/Asia,
managing something or other, retiring in 1978 in California and
marrying Chris who I met in Sacramento. We moved to Maryville,
TN for ten years then on to Oak Ridge which, time wise, accounts
for another thirty years. During that time I flew and managed
for several small airlines winding up flying executives in corporate
jets around the North and South America. Chris held down the homestead
while I was off flying around and still works as an administrator
at Oak Ridge Schools.
He concluded with a short story he wrote for ProPilot Magazine
last year which sort of tells what he is up to now. You
will enjoy reading this, it's
really nice. Be sure to see
page two.
Thanks, Rod.....maybe we'll hear from someone
else.
