What People
Said
About The Reunion
Some people have expressed their feelings about attending
the
reunion – won’t you
share yours? |
|
What do you remember
about your days at Central?
I'll
share one of mine with you.
|
|
Remember
those years – 1951–1954?
In
retrospect, the three short years we spent at Central passed very
quickly and then we split. In reality, a lot more years were involved
for many of us. Our associations began in elementary school, moved
on to junior high and were completed at Central
– something like 12 years.
Since
graduation, we rarely have come into contact with most of our Central
classmates. Everyone scattered far and wide to all points of the
compass, many continuing their education, others entering the work
force, some joining the military, or starting a family. A lot of
us have not seen each other since.

Creating this web site,
has forced frequent peaks at the Warrior to look up names
and try to match them with photos. In doing so, many of the
good times and experiences that we had resurfaced.
In
talking with people before and at our 50th Reunion, something
became clear which hadn’t seemed possible.

People
haven't really changed that much. They sound very much like they
did 50 years ago.
 |
Sure,
I know– they’re completely different, just look
in the mirror.
What I meant is
this, if you were friends back then, it was easy to reestablish
old ties and start a conversation.
If
you haven't done so already, try it out. Give
someone a call or write an email. It'll
be fun, they’ll appreciate your call and you’ll
feel good about it!
|
Of
course, it helps if the person was enthusiastic and came to the
reunion, but still works even when you contact someone who didn’t.
Another
good way is to share your feelings with people on this web site.
Send a note about 1954, 2004, the Reunion, or maybe even why you
couldn’t come. We'll put items of news about you in the new
Class Notes section. You can reach those in the class who have access
to the internet.
If
your high school memories are getting vague, don't feel bad –
it’s happening to most of us.
To
share your interesting stories about experiences at Central, send
an email and a short message
to the Class
of 1954.
Read
what is happening to others in our class.
